The Nivada Grenchen Chronoking is a mecaquartz chronograph designed to appeal to both automotive enthusiasts and lovers of sporty watches with a vintage style. It is equipped with the Seiko VK63 caliber, a hybrid movement that combines the precision of quartz with the characteristic operation of a mechanical chronograph, notably thanks to its instant-reset central hand.
This architecture allows the Nivada Grenchen Chronoking to offer the sensations of a mechanical chronograph while maintaining a relatively thin case, excellent reliability, and a more accessible price.
A customizable watch thanks to its interchangeable bezels
The Chronoking is distinguished first and foremost by its interchangeable bezel system. Each watch comes in a box containing five different bezels, which can be quickly replaced to change its appearance and adapt it to every occasion.
Depending on the version chosen, the Nivada Grenchen Chronoking can accommodate two main types of bezels:
- a tachymeter bezel, directly inspired by the world of motor racing and allowing the measurement of an average speed over 1 km;
- a World Time bezel, designed to display different time zones simultaneously and accompany travelers.
A wide choice of colors and straps
Nivada Grenchen also offers the Chronoking in many combinations of dials, colors, and straps. It can be worn on a steel bracelet to reinforce its sporty character, on a leather strap for a more dressed-up look, or on a rubber strap for more casual daily use.
